"A" Championship Winners!!!!!!
Coldwater Wildcats Tyke #2 are "A" Championship Winners at Stayner Tournament.
It was a great day at the Stayner Tournament for our Tyke #2 team. We started off our day with a 8-2 win over Stayner #1. Our second game was against Douro Dukes, we fought hard and just couldn't get enough pucks pass the pipes losing 6-5. The tournament points system still put us first in our pool after two games. We then had to meet up with Stayner #2 in a do or die game, winners going to the "A" Championship finals. Our kids battled hard and had to come from behind to win 6-5 to steal the win. The "A" Championship Game was set for 6:30pm, against Barrie!!! Our kids were ready and willing to leave it all on the ice. Within the first 20 seconds we blasted one in the net off the first face off. In the next 20 seconds we made some quick moves to surprise the Barrie defense and had another beauty goal. In the first period we were up 5-0. Barrie tried to get us off our game by some rough play, but we kept a level head and moved forward and never looked back. The entire team played a very smart game and made some amazing passes, Barrie just couldn't hold on. At the end of three periods we obtained Gold by winning 8-2. The entire Coaching Staff is very proud of our kids, way to go Wildcats!!!!!!
