PrintRegistration FAQ

How will I know if my child has been accepted to play this year?
You will receive a welcome email within 10 days of registration.  As we get closer to the season your player’s coach will be in touch by phone or email.

When do I need to register my child for the next hockey season to avoid a late payment fee?
You can register your child online by July 1, 2023 in order to get the advantage of the early registrant fee. Registering by that date helps us to plan the correct number of teams for each division. There is not a late fee but rather an Early Bird discount.

How much does it cost?
U5 - $475
U7 and U8 - $525
U9, U11 - $625.00

U13, U15, U18,U21 - $650.00.
If you register before July 1st 2023 and pay a minimum of 25% deposit then you will receive $100.00 off the above quoted costs.

Can I pay with etransfer?
Yes by etransfer to [email protected]

Can I pay with cash?
No - for security and tracking, we do not accept registration payment by cash.

Can I pay in installments?
Yes. We understand that registering multiple players can present a sudden financial burden so we do accept payment plans with all funds being paid by October 1st, 2023. For split payment, we require a minimum payment of 25% at registration then you can split your payments by paying 25% August 1st, September 1st and October 1st

I have registered and paid what now??
If you have not completed the Parent Respect in Sport that is the next step. If you click under Registration to the Respect in Sport tab it will take you to the program.  The program takes about an hour to complete at a price of $12.00.  This course is one per family so can have multiple children on one completion and it is a one time thing as well.

When will I be contacted as to what team my child is on?
We generally have ice for September at an out of town location and then in Coldwater after the Fall Fair.  Until we receive the outline from the OMHA we are unable to confirm. Please check the website regularly.

When does the hockey season start?
In a normal year all teams will begin in September.  Keep an eye on the coldwaterwildcats.ca for schedules and firm dates.

Can I specify a certain coach or team that I want my child to play for?

No. Our policy is to ensure that players are playing at the appropriate level and that our teams are balanced. Limiting players to selected coaches restricts this objective. We encourage all participants to benefit from the knowledge of all coaches and coaching styles. Please see the Policies, Procedures and Code of Conduct if you have concerns about any team officials.

Can I request that my child play with his friend for car-pooling purposes?
Yes. You may make that request and we'll do our best to honor it. Please note that the request will not always be honored. Our policy is to ensure that players are playing at the appropriate level and that our teams are balanced. Grouping players sometimes restricts this objective.

What documentation do I need if I want to coach?
Please refer to the coach application section on coldwaterwildcats.ca

How will I find out my child's schedule?

Schedules will be posted on our web site coldwaterwildcats.ca

What time are games played at?

Games will be scheduled on weekday evenings, typically starting after 5pm and during the day and evening on holidays and weekends. Younger players generally play at earlier times and older players generally play at later times. Games may be at home or in other Georgian Bay league centres.

I am moving to a new home.  What address do I put on the form if we have not moved yet?
