U11 Wildcats Team 1 (Coldwater Minor Hockey Association)

This Sunday April 13th is our official year end awards day for the 2024/25 season. We are asking all U5, U7, U8 players to join us at 10:30am for a celebration of the team accomplishments.  This year we will be convening on the rink surface for our awards day. There will be hot dogs and refreshments for all players and bench staff. We will be then asking that group to leave the arena so we can do a quick clean up.  Then we will reconvene for the U9 to U21 portion of the day at 1pm in the arena. Hello Hockey Parents, Guardians, Players and Friends  I would like to invite you to attend our Annual General Meeting being held on Tuesday April 15th at 6:30 PM upstairs at the Coldwater Arena. At this meeting we review the financial position of our association, review any changes to minor hockey as proposed by the OMHA and elect new members to our executive.  There is an online nomination form to nominate a person to one of the available positions under the Year End tab on the website. This is your opportunity to have your say to how the association is run.

This year we are happy to again present CMHA Scholarships available to any highschool graduate with the following qualifications.  *Be registered for three (3) years within the CMHA in any capacity (player, trainer, coach, official) *Be registered with the CMHA during their application season *Be a registrant in good standing with the CMHA Please see the scholarship tab at the top of the website for full details. All applications will be considered there will be a limited number of scholarships available.

As an association we have been invited to send players to the GBTLL All Star game in Wasaga Beach on April the 5th.  The coaches were given the task to choose the representative for their teams.  This is not an easy task and many expressed how difficult it was to choose just one or two, the number was predetermined by the league. I am happy to list below who is attending on behalf of Coldwater and wish them well in a day of great fun that they will remember for years to come. With goals of informing, educating, and engaging with youth about the history of the residential school system, promoting truth and reconciliation, and promoting physical and mental wellness of indigenous and non-indigenous youth through sport. We are very proud to be hosting an Orange Jersey Project for our U11 team 1 and U13 team 2 in Coldwater.  The players have had access to the portal to learn all about the program prior to our special celebration on Tuesday March the 18th @7:00pm in Coldwater.
