Peewee LL Wins Brighton Tournament
The team traveled to Brighton on January 17th for a one day tournament.
Their first game was at 7:30am against the Brighton Braves #1 team. It was 0-0 going into the third period. Brighton scored at the start of the period but our team dug in and Owen B scored to tie it up. We ended the game with a 3-1 victory. Point getters were Owen B (1g,1a), Travis B (2a), Joey R (2g) and Ashley M (1a).
The second game of the day was played against the Brighton Braves #2 team. The first period was scoreless until the second period when Joey R scored our first goal. We won the game 2-0 which sent us to the "A" division finals. Point getters were Joey R (1g), Will B (1a), Jared A (1g), Owen B (1a) and Hunter S (1a).
Our last and final game was played against the Metcalfe Jets. We popped in a goal right off the start and it was 1-0 after the first period. We were up 3-0 near the end of the second period and then Metcalfe scored making it 3-1 at the end of the second period. We won the game 5-1 and I'm sure the fans could be heard all the way outside. Point getters of the game were Travis B (3g), Owen B (1a), Joey R (1g, 2a), Will B (1g).
